KRS-One and Soulja Boy sat down recently and chatted about Hip-Hop culture past and present. First off the headline reads "KRS-One Officially Welcomes Soulja Boy" WTF is that? Also how do you get welcomed in to Hip-Hop after you've already put out an album? A lot of this just doesn't make sense to me but enough of the hating. There were a few parts of the conversation I found interesting first Soulja Boy asked KRS-One why all the older rappers were hating on him and KRS-One answered him how the old cats don't want to see all the hard work they put in go for nothing if the new generation doesn't respect the culture. This stuff just sounds like your typical bitter old man syndrome vs. being young and dumb. This is a great question posed by the Urban News Network, when people blame the actions of so many sports stars on Hip-Hop I don't see it as a stretch to apply it to the election. Will the endorsements of so many rappers hurt Barack? Will middle class white Americans see this as Obama attracting the interest of "thugs" and perceive this negatively and use it as an argument against his election? Or will endorsements from rappers just be viewed as just another part of the youth vote? Better yet, has Hip-Hop grown enough that rappers will just be grouped in with celebrity pop culture? Personally I don't know and the answers are different for different people but I can not wait to see how this plays out throughout the election.

Joe Budden and the Game squashed their beef last night when Joe came out and performed a song at Game's NYC show. Good to see Game squashing some beefs to balance out the one's he is starting.
