mike-posner-_-the-brain-trust-f_d-up-now
I haven't posted any "Love Lockdown" remixes due to the large amount that I have seen all over the place but this song is hysterical. He is talking about all sorts of drunken craziness that I'm sure we all can relate to at some point in our lives. Mike Posner and the Brain Trust also have a another song that we over here at B&B like a lot called "Cooler Than Me" and a track on Big Sean's mixtape Finally Famous.
I know I am late on this but I have to post it. Here is some more refreshing music for all of you who are getting tired of everything sounding the same. She has some budget for an up and coming artist to be able to make this movie video. Janelle Monae is definitely channeling some Michael Jackson and James Brown in this and there is even a part that is similar to Blondie. That sounds crazy but just watch the video and it will all make sense.
According to Sha Money XL the producer and G-Unit affiliate and his website ShaMoneyMotivation.com, Eminem will be releasing a new album in '09. The name of this album, according to Sha, will be Empack. This would be Em's first release since Encore in '04. I am excited if this is true because Eminem is probably my favorite living rapper. Also Dr. Dre's Detox and 50 Cent's Before I Self-Destruct are also scheduled to be released next year as well making it one hell of a year for the Aftermath family if all of this is true.

john_legend-no_other_love__feat_estelle
A new track from John Legend off of his new album Evolver dropping Oct. 28th. This song gives a different flavor from him with its reggae sound. Estelle's part is not standout but is definitely a nice complement to Mr. Legend. This is definitely a track both the guys and ladies will enjoy.
Q-Tip - “Believe” (feat. D’Angelo) (The Rap Up)
50 Cent - “50 For President” (HiphopRuckus)
Chris Brown doesn't give Hand me downs (Str8nyc)

Hip-Hop Rumors: Alicia's New Man? (Allhiphop)
OK I know I normally post about hip-hop related content but after seeing emails from friends who work in finance all day I feel the need to vent a little and maybe shed some light on the current economic situation since it does affect us all.
I think that actual stock market chart from today says it all, it is almost cartoonish. So as if you already didn't know the stock market today started to reflect our fears of the current financial crisis. After a weekend of hopeful deliberation in which most reports were favorable, congress decided to vote for but not pass, a bailout plan to help our economy. Inevitably, the stock market lost close to 800 points in a single day. Although, percentage wise it isn't close to the biggest loss in history, it is still the greatest point loss in a day in stock market history.
I could go into detail about everything happening but won't, the CNN.com article posted below will do a much better job of that. Although Bush does deserve blame for getting us in this mess I'm not even going to focus on him, instead I will comment on congress. Let me start with WTF congress? Due to your inability to see past party differences and your own egos, you now have delayed passing a bill that could help our economy in a true time of need. I blame the parties for not trying to and not accepting attempts to reach across party lines. Also I blame individual politicians in congress for their incompetence in seeing past their voting records. I think some of these politicians are scared to vote for a bill and basically put their stamp of approval on it in case something might go wrong. Now the vote is delayed until at least Thursday and for almost a full business week the stock market will be left to plunge further in despair. Thank you congress. Our country needs leadership and a direction to head in to get us out of this mess and you give us nothing, I'm so glad McCain suspended his campaign and flew back to DC for this. To all of the politicians out there reading this (haha) I leave you with this quote "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
Get your act together and do your job!
Stocks crushed
Hahaha these guys over at ItsTheReal.com crack me up. In this clip they are giving Lloyd Banks investment advice. They encourage him to come out of retirement to make music again. I'm sure I'm not doing it justice so watch the clip yourself!
Here is Torae with his new video "Switch". Torae is really putting it down up here in the NYC underground. He is definitely one of the hottest rappers up here along with Skyzoo, Mickey Factz, Donny Goines, etc. I love the Mac themed video, original stuff.
I'm checking back in after a nice weekend to give you all some great news, Jay-Z has set the release date for Blueprint 3 for Dec. 2nd. So this means Kanye in Nov. and Hov in Dec., nice. I know they wouldn't have been released the same weekend but I wonder if one had to do with the other? I would assume no but would be interested to find out. He also confirmed a "Swagga Like Us pt. 2" on his album with verses from Andre 3000, Jeezy, and Nas. This joint should be a banger and M.I.A. continues to collect those checks for that sample haha!
Just in case you guys forgot, here is a video of the first single off of the album, Jockin Jay-Z live at MSG.
