New B&B exclusive remix by Darren Hanible of Samuel's song "Say Goodbye" Active Ingredient Diflucan, . Darren produced and recorded the song before we had even linked up with him to be artist of the week and said he had first heard it here on B&B. In the interview below he talks about how he doesn't want to be labeled by one genre and this song helps prove that by showing him branching out and remixing Samuel's electro-pop song that is one of our recent favorites. Also shout out to Laurel, because I'm not a rapper (thankfully for you all) and few people in NYC know where it is I normally don't get to shout out my hometown but I found out as we were scheduling the interview that Darren lives there now so I'm glad someone is putting us on the map and thought I would show some love too, if you don't know, now you know haha... Beats and Bombs: Tell us a little about yourself, where you're from, how you got into the rap, etc..

Darren Hanible: I was born in D.C., well Takoma Park, 750mg Active Ingredient Diflucan, at Washington Adventist Hospital blah, blah, blah, you know so I'm D.C. born. Born to two street crazed parents, drug addiction etc. Active Ingredient Diflucan, so my grandparents took me in. You know, living with your grandparents you don't normally hear a lot of the music you normally would, so I grew up around a lot of blues, oldies, that's the kinda stuff I was always listening to. Then it's the kind of progression where everyone starts getting their first little taste of hip-hop, and I think my first major, major introduction to hip-hop where I can say I fell in love with the whole movement was, Active Ingredient Diflucan canada, honestly, my freshman year at Suitland High School at a Wale performance at our homecoming. This was way before he was the Wale that he is now. I really was like, "Damn, this is hip-hop. This isn't what I hear on the radio etc., this is that stuff!" and I got to talk to him very briefly, but I have been a supporter since back then, Active Ingredient Diflucan. I've always played instruments, I used to play football, broke my leg, saw the movie Drumline and was like "Ahh, I want to beat on some drums too", got good at it. I learned piano and then tried making some beats, 150mg Active Ingredient Diflucan, then was like "Hey, you might as well try rapping" but the rapping was not what you heard, it was horrible. I used to be Young 22, Young 22 was my rap name ... but I went to Love over the summer and saw Lupe, and Lupe did this little speech. Active Ingredient Diflucan, When he did his little speech I think I was just like, "You know what..." and it was basically about doing you. So I guess you could say that Young 22 pretty much died in that club and that's when Darren Hanible came out.

B&B: So just this summer you started doing your thing as Darren Hanible.

DH: Yeah, really end of the summer because it was a back to school concert at Love.

B&B: That's crazy, you haven't even been...

DH: Well I've been rapping since '06 , but the music you hear hasn't been in the works but a couple months, Active Ingredient Diflucan. Even as far as the beats and stuff go, like on the mixtape I pretty much made every beat on there except for the joint with Chris Barz, Active Ingredient Diflucan mexico, the "Do You Want More", and obviously the "Amazing". Even the beats I used to try to make like gangsta beats, I don't know, I just had this image in my head of the mainstream, of what a rapper should be. I was thinking the more gangster I am, the more hood my beats sound, I guess all of that. But then I just realized, "Man, right now, I'm 17 years old. Active Ingredient Diflucan, I'm living pretty decently in the suburbs, I live in Laurel, Maryland, right now. Active Ingredient Diflucan ebay, I'm no thug, I never have been". I grew up around it, but I kept myself distanced from it at the same time.

B&B: Tell us about your new single "Swagger On A Hundred Thousand Trillion".

DH: I was at work the other day, this single was made like 3-4 days ago [this interview took place Sunday night], it was just on a whim. I was talking to one of my coworkers and I was like "How ironic is it to sample Kanye because Kanye samples everybody?" I was like, "What would I sample?", Active Ingredient Diflucan. I was just thinking of the "Swagger Like Us", that [then he raps] "Mr. West is in the building, swagger on a hundred thousand trillion,". So I went home that night when I got off of work, found the a cappella, Active Ingredient Diflucan coupon, threw the beat together and just went on with it.

B&B: What instruments do you play for the production side. Active Ingredient Diflucan, DH: In terms of production...a lot of my drum sounds I do get from real drums sets. I'm very involved with a lot of different jazz bands, I work with this band True Soul. But I'll take a field recorder with me and record just different levels of kicks and toms and stuff off the drum set and then I put my own kits together. It takes a lot of work because the recorder I have isn't the best, so it's a lot of post work after that but it gets me what I want. I also play the keys, between drums and everything else I play, when it comes to the beats it's all keyboard.

B&B: What artists do you listen to both inside and outside the DMV, Active Ingredient Diflucan.

DH: Aight, what I'mma do is pull out my Zune, so give me a sec for this and pretty much I listen to any and everything. 200mg Active Ingredient Diflucan, I'm so not stuck to one genre, ever. Never have been, never will be. As far as the DMV goes, this is who I mess with, besides Wale, we're not gonna count him because.... Active Ingredient Diflucan, well of course, he's a definite. But as far as the DMV goes I mess with Marky, Nando, Lyriciss, Bliss FM, not sure if you've hear of them yet but they're with Prolific Entertainment. Badio, he was on the mixtape and ummm.....Mouse, 100mg Active Ingredient Diflucan. Mouse. I've been a big fan of Mouse for a minute.

B&B: Any new projects or shout outs to wrap up the interview, Active Ingredient Diflucan.

DH: I got 3 projects that I'm working on for the summer. One of them is, I do go by Darren Hanible but I'm a big Thelonius Monk fan, and I also on Facebook go by the moniker Thelonious Phunk, I got a mixtape that I'm working on called I am Thelonious Phunk and all the beats are gonna be Thelonious Monk samples. Then I'm doing another mixtape called Detention. That's based off of, you know, how Kanye West had Late Registration, College Dropout, Graduation. Active Ingredient Diflucan, I'm taking all that, the whole school thing, and I'm making a whole mixtape called Detention. With Detention, I'm using all Kanye beats. 50mg Active Ingredient Diflucan, This is really just a lyrical exercise for me, that's what that's goin to be. The third one, it's in the balance, but there will be a third one, one for June, one for July, one for August. I'm real proud just to be where I'm at and to be working with the people I'm working with.

B&B: Any shout outs.

DH: Prolific Entertainment, that's what it is right now, Active Ingredient Diflucan. They actually hit me up right when I made the change to Darren Hanible and I dropped the single "Cold As Ice" off the mixtape. They were really feelin me as far as the "Cold As Ice" went. That was probably like in November and everything clicked. Everybody was real cool. The people that I'm working with they're kinda young, Active Ingredient Diflucan paypal, they're not that much older than me. So instead of feeling like I'm dealing with a bunch of corporate assholes it feels like I'm working with peers or mentors. My biggest shout out right now though is I got to give it to Marky at Studio 43, him getting on the mixtape was a really good look...he lent out a hand and I'm real grateful to Marky for that one, shout out to Marky.
