I am a fan of Scarface’s music but man this guy gives me no position to back him up on this one. Now I know most of you are thinking, this is gonna be good and agree with whatever he is saying but I am writing this post to say how stupid and fucking ignorant Scarface is for doing this. Scarface, gave an interview in which he praises Obama and brutally smashes McCain. Throughout the interview McCain is referred to as white guy, red neck etc. and then Scarface has the stupidity to call McCain racist. Better yet, he calls McCain racist for “not looking at Obama during the debates”. You have to be shitting me. Hmm instead of giving reasons that a 6 year old would give why don’t you just say something like “McCain isn’t down with us, he didn’ t vote for MLK day to be a holiday”. See now that is how you use facts and reasoning to demonstrate a point. Now I disagree with many of McCain’s positions, but that doesn’t mean free reign to talk shit on the opponent. Scarface can disagree with his foreign policy position, economic bailout plan, etc. but to call a man racist simply because “he didn’t look the opponent in the face” is absurd. And guess what, the irony of all this Mr. Face is that you are HELPING John McCain with these comments. You help legitimize the stupid racists that are in the crowd at McCain/Palin speeches who yell out “terrorist” and “die” when Obama’s name is mentioned by giving the Repblicans somone to point to and a reason for them to say “well look what Scarface did, clearly we can’t control what everyone is saying”. Also any person on the fence about voting for Obama certainly isn’t going to take this endorsement as what pushed them over the edge, in fact hate speech like this will drive them in the other direction. Lastly all of the people who are ignorant and actually are racist on the other side are just going to become even more angry and more enthusiastic about their position and their candidate if and when they hear your words. There are many ways to support your candidate through words and actions, but this does the complete opposite of what, I assume, it was intended to do. So next time you want to support a candidate, why don’t you base your support in facts and reasoning and leave the ignorant rants at home so this way you actually help, instead of hurt, the candidate you are trying to support, instead I would be encouraging people to vote. Just my 2 cents. |
