I said this many months ago but if Paul Simon and the Talking Heads had a baby it would be Vampire Weekend. Keeping in tradition with both of those acts too they seem to be better live than in their recordings and they incorporate a lot of different styles in their own music and have layers and layers of melodies. As Jimmy points out, we have no idea when the new album is coming out but if this is a hint then it should be as good as their self-titled debut album.  Jimmy Fallon continues to bring out a lot of the hot indie rock bands for his show which I still haven’t seen yet but I need to watch soon at least to show the Roots some love.
