The Five One are a band from the DMV who often take songs and remix/remake them into very listenable hip-hop tunes. They remind me of the Roots in their ability as musicians and to cross genres effortlessly and make it all sound good. I haven’t listened to Röyksopp much at all but I still knew the original the second it hit the chorus thanks to commercials. The group is getting to release an album full of these remixes called Deuce Day World EP and it should be up on B&B when it drops.Thanks to GWHH for keeping us up to date on them.
