Here is a joint off XV’s mixtape Everybody’s Nobody dropping soon. I am really feeling this song, the beat is something I would like (smooth synths and a piano loop) and it is produced by Seven. The radio rip was floating around earlier but I waited for the quality track this time, the radio rips rarely do it for me. I got to give it up to XV though, Hot97 did premier his mixtape track and very few artists can claim that. Is he the next Drake? I checked a couple of sites and it looks like the name of The Roots’ next album is How I Got Over (what they performed on fallon was the title track).
I’m also seeing things about a summer release date, but I’m not holding my breath because we all know how unreliable release date rumors are.
I just saw something else now that ?uestlove said in mid-June that the album is being pushed back to october (http://theurbandaily.blackplanet.com/music/the-roots-new-album-held-until-october/).
Oh wow, might have to take it off to the list then until it gets closer to the release date. It is tough to do though since I loved the single so much.
