[gallery=11] Check out the pics from this years AMAs... The American Music Awards have been around since 1973 and is one of the biggest award events every year. The 36th Annual 2008 American Music Awards aired Nov. 23 and was one of the best awards show this year. In the past year, many artists have put out new albums and music videos and have promoted their material everywhere they can; for a few artists, success and fame reached a new level this year. Last night Kanye West won the American Music Award for Best Male Rapper. In a rare case of him putting his ego aside, Kanye says in his acceptance speech that the award should belong to Lil' Wayne because he thought he was the best this year. He also says that he was the best one last year, but I will just be ignoring that for now haha. Hopefully this is a sign of a more mature Kanye and we can start focusing more on him and his music than his outbursts. Hit the break for some famous Kanye outbursts.
