Roger Riley & Teddy Troutman (get it?) are coming out with an album called Death of the Autotune where they remix classic hip-hop tracks to death with the Autotune and I just got a hold of Black Moon's "Buck 'Em Down" and A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation". Since I am a skeptic of the Autotune craze sweeping every chorus and point of emphasis in rap, I thought this would be a good way to laugh about my frustrations. I couldn't have been more dead wrong. (Death of AutoTune)", click here. Now no remix of those songs will overtake the original for me but these are pretty good. These guys just make a mockery of the AutoTune by just overusing it all the time, think 70's funk. In the process of bastardizing it though, I actually grew to liking it for the first time in a while. Maybe the ridiculousness of how much they use it helped me get over myself and opinions of the AutoTune, but whatever it was they made a believer out of me, at least for this album haha. I can't wait to get more of these songs from it.
