chamber musicPosts Tagged ‘chamber music’If you can’t recall who Sadat X is, no one can really blame you. He had some singles back in the 90s and kept quiet for the last 10 years. The only reason I know him is because of the track “Sound The Horns” on the Wu’s Chamber Music, in which he smashed his verse. Anywho, here he is teaming up with Pete Rock (who, on the other hand, you better know if you consider yourself a fan of hip-hop) to deliver a new track. It’s not bad, but not great either. The lyricism isn’t all that impressive, which is common in these rap comebacks, but at least Sadat’s arm/hand flailing in the video is funny to watch. Meh. Props to MikeG for this one. New Wu-Tang from Chamber Music which drops June 30th. This song is just as good as the rest of the songs from the album and the beat had me bugging out. The piano loop with the high note chords was simple but brilliant and I also like the loop it switched to for the chorus. Wu shows everyone else that you can have very musical beats and still make them sound grimy as hell. Chamber Music should be one of the big highlights for the summer of the Wu and don’t forget to go get U-God’s Dopium which is out now.

Here we go with some more Wu tracks off of their upcoming album with the Revelations called Chamber Music which drops June 30th. I am really looking forward to this album, everything that has been released so far has been fire and it sounds like the Wu as a collective group are back. This time too they bring along a hip-hop legend in Masta Ace to drop some grimey rhymes over the track and he fits right in with them. You know what it is, summer of the Wu in full effect now, I could really almost post a new solo or group track every day, and today I’m posting two. Check below the break for the tracklisting. First one is called “Harbormasters” (above) and it is from Chamber Music, a collaboration between Wu-Tang and the Revelations, which sounds dope. Below the break I am giving you a bonus track of Ghostface by himself called “Forever Dirty”. See I wasn’t lying that it would be the summer of the Wu. Keep checking back to B&B for more tracks since we also got Raekwon’s album coming out in August too.
