Again late pass due to technical difficulties at the new crib but the good music has to be heard. Hear is what Daytona said in the email he shot over to me:

On Come Fly With Me, The Kid Daytona shares airspace with musical superstars such as Bun B (UGK), Kardinal Offishall, and seasoned newcomers such as Mickey Factz, Amanda Diva, Harlem’s Cash, Outasight, and more. Production credits for the album include 6th Sense, Double 0 (Kidz In The Hall), Cook Classics, Jet Audio, Ill Bomb, The Government, and Deputy.

Both Come Fly With Me and its single, “Contact” featuring Kardinal Offishall, will be distributed digitally by Community JUICE beginning Tuesday, June 30, 2009.

Bun B shows how in tune with good new music he is by appearing with Daytona on this song from his new mixtape Come Fly With Me. 6th Sense gives them a smooth beat to spit to and they are both real chill with their flows to match it. I am angry I didn’t get a chance to go to the listening session yesterday but I am in the process of moving so I had to get some stuff done that I had put off too long. I’m sure it was a good time and I can’t wait to hear the album myself but we will all just have to wait til the 30th now. In the meantime, let this track marinate until it drops.

This is the first song from The Kid Daytona’s album called Come Fly With Me due out June 30th. We posted this song as part of the DJBooth freestyle series but it looks like it was just a snippet of the first single off of his album. I am really liking this song, the beat is real easy to groove to and nothing like his beats from his latest mixtape The Daytona 500. The Kid Daytona is someone we started liking right before that mixtape and this album should be even better if this is a preview of what we should expect.

Let’s continue with our impromptu Cinco De Mayo Mixtape Fiesta with another one, and then there will be another one. I usually do not post mixtapes this frequently but these are all artists that I have been into so the good music has to be heard by everyone. The Kid Daytona gets Mick Boogie to assist him on this mixtape and comes with a much shorter project than the other two that are being posted today. The theme of the mixtape is with each song we are building more upon the machine that you can Come Fly With Me, well with him, since that is going to be the name of his album. Each producer took the sample from the intro track and chopped up to make an original beat and you can tell they are all “related” by listening to the bass groove in each song. He also was pretty original with concept of having each song with a title like “The Navigation” (the song above), “The Engine”, “The Body” etc. to go along with the album theme. The production is pretty nuts too, if I had to describe it I would say jazzy chaos on a spaceship. If you don’t get it then listen to the album because that’s all I got haha.
