Dave Coresh – “Breathe” (Video)

Dave Coresh hit us the other day with this video that is off of the producer 7th Maja’s album The Breakout. The video has the grimey feel of being in a basement and rocking out to a performance with all the crowd shots and energy that is shown throughout the video. There also is some fighting footage spliced in which has a Fight Club feel to it as well as some pit bull barking shots and the obligatory shot of crowd members wiling out. Before this song I hadn’t heard of 7th Maja but I am feeling the beat and it goes hard. If you like it too you can pick up this project with predominantly Chi town artists over at FSD.

I was feeling the track “Keep It Movin’” and have been waiting for this since the summer.

Chicago-based, D.C.-bred emcee Dave Coresh has stepped into the Booth to bring fans his long-awaited fourth mixtape, Formal Introduction. Mixed by DJ Tay James, the street album is presented by RubyHornet, FakeShoreDrive, IllRoots, and DJBooth.net. Other sponsors include Jugrnaut, InoPrints.com, DTLR, Q&Q Entertainment, Classick Studios and Grade A Mixtapes.

Among the 15 fresh new cuts showcased on the set are the recently-featured title track and the artist’s Booth debut, the reader-acclaimed “Keep It Movin.” Fellow Windy City natives Mike Schpitz, Add-2, Vic Mensa, Chuck L.i., Rocket and BEN, along with D.C.‘s G5 Clive join Coresh throughout the project, flowing over beats by Rob Bates, Maja 7th, ILL Brown, Chaise Marcel, Nova and Jon Francis.

Tracklist and download below the break. Also shout out to Georgetown beating Cuse today, if it wasn’t for that my day would be hectic and suck but thankfully now it is all good.

This video reminds me a lot of college except this party is way cleaner. You know if it was a real party there would be drinks/food on the floor and the bathroom would have no toilet paper with puke and piss everywhere. I have only posted this song of his before and it has spent some time in my rotation since that point. The chorus is catchy and it definitely keeps your head nodding throughout and the beat is dope especially with the sped up sample for the chorus. This is from You Can Call Me Dave EP (EDIT: according to the comments its on the Formal Introduction tape) which I still am unsure if it has even dropped yet.

I haven’t heard much from Dave Coresh, except that I think he is from Chicago, but I am really liking this song. The beat is addictive as hell and so is his chorus and the song just sounds like quality hip-hop. “Keep It Movin” is from his Call Me Dave EP and I have no idea when it is supposed to be released or even if it is already. In the meantime of me not knowing shit about him lol, please listen and like this song as much as possible and I will try to get more info on the dude. Shouts to RubyHornet for this one.
