Roger Riley & Teddy Troutman (get it?) are coming out with an album called Death of the Autotune where they remix classic hip-hop tracks to death with the Autotune and I just got a hold of Black Moon's "Buck 'Em Down" and A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation". Since I am a skeptic of the Autotune craze sweeping every chorus and point of emphasis in rap, I thought this would be a good way to laugh about my frustrations. I couldn't have been more dead wrong. These guys just make a mockery of the AutoTune by just overusing it all the time, think 70's funk. In the process of bastardizing it though, I actually grew to liking it for the first time in a while. Maybe the ridiculousness of how much they use it helped me get over myself and opinions of the AutoTune, but whatever it was they made a believer out of me, at least for this album haha.
