I thought his lyrics and flow both were not up to his level. The whole song didn’t appeal to me too much, I thought Kardinal’s verse was OK and the beat was pretty standard club track with a deep bass drum, synth keys, air horns etc. Pusha T has the best verse on the whole track and really knows how to rock those deep bass drum grooves which actually reminded me of a drum loop I would hear on a Clipse track. Marshall’s back and it sounds like this will be a banger. “Number One” is unreleased and will be on the Big Mike & DJ Neptune mixtape 4th Quarter Pressure. This is not a done track as you can hear Eminem does Dre’s verse and it hasn’t been mixed or mastered. It sounds like to me that Mr. Mathers has gone back to the witty lines and “fuck the world” attitude and has left Kim his ex/current wife (really I don’t know or care to know anymore) out of this song. I am now really excited for ‘09. After I watch Entourage episodes I get a lot of questions from my friends for the names of songs that were used in them. At the closing credits of this this last episode I recognized the song immediately and thought I would post the song on BeatsAndBombs to help everyone out. The song is called “Imagine” and is a track off of Snoop’s album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Dre’s lead verse is the one that is used in the actual episode and he says some powerful stuff in it so listen up! According to Sha Money XL the producer and G-Unit affiliate and his website ShaMoneyMotivation.com, Eminem will be releasing a new album in ‘09. The name of this album, according to Sha, will be Empack. This would be Em’s first release since Encore in ‘04. I am excited if this is true because Eminem is probably my favorite living rapper. Also Dr. Dre’s Detox and 50 Cent’s Before I Self-Destruct are also scheduled to be released next year as well making it one hell of a year for the Aftermath family if all of this is true.
