Dr. Dre ft. Jay-Z – “Under Pressure” (Tags)

Yes, yes and yes again. I have been waiting for this for a decade, literally. That is a long ass time to get any tangible proof that this album exists and that it might eventually see the light of day. What a way to kick it off too with Jay on the first single, only hotter name would have been Em who is already on fire. Someone please confirm that the track is real and what it sounds like in the comment section because of the medieval policy at my work of blocking all of these sites. I guess Detox will be coming out soon although I am still not going to believe it until I see it. Shouts to DaJaz1 for the premiere!

Dr. Dre x Jay-Z on the First Detox Single?

I am skeptical of anything Detox related due to how long we have waited for it but with Michael Yo (above) and YouHeardThatNew both confirming means it just may be true this time. Either way we know with Jay and Dre on the same track it easily would be one of the most anticipated singles/collaborations since I don’t even know when. If you check out the above link you will read that it is supposedly “uptempo” which isn’t what I would expect from these two icons but I am intrigued to say the least. Look for that song later this week although I still feel like I am being made to look like a sucker.

With the year coming closer to its end, there are only a few major albums left to drop that I’m excited about, and OB4CL2 is easily one of them. With every new song I heard, I got more and more excited for this sequel to the original classic (which is the exact opposite I could say about Blueprint 3). Only Built and Ghostface’s Wizard of Poetry are the two big hip-hop albums of this month, and I can’t wait for both. It’s nice to see rappers nowadays go in confidently without having to boast a gangster lifestyle, yet on the same note I’m glad that authentically gritty & grimy rap has not disappeared. “About Me” features a beast and is produced by another beast, so I was happy before even pressing play. I don’t want to post a download link for this song because this is something that deserves to be paid for, but I’m no one’s boss here, so google the link if you must.

Eminem ft. Dr. Dre & 50 Cent – “Crack A Bottle” (Video)

New video with some original ideas and visuals from Eminem off his album Relapse, out now. People hated on this song when the very rough version with Eminem rapping every one else’s verses came out but I still like it a lot. The video continues with Em’s theme of making this a horror film in music form but only for his verse, for the other verses they do videos in the theme of how those artists rap, which is cool as hell. What does everyone think of this song now? Personally, I’m just happy that Em is staying in the spotlight long enough to release a couple albums and some other feature verses, the drought is definitely over.

Yeah you read that crazy title right, it was really weird typing it out. Whatever, we finally get a very brief preview of Detox thanks to him teaming up with Dr. Pepper.

The L.A.-based hip-hop producer appears in the last installment of an ad campaign entitled “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor,” and teases music from the long-awaited album, currently slated for a late 2009 release on Aftermath/Interscope. The commercial will begin airing on Monday, June 1.

Eminem and Dre are back at it on this new joint from Relapse. I like it and makes me think that this album is going to be hotter than I initially thought (because we already know it is going to be a big seller). Dre also lays some dope lines over this track and I love when he steps up his lyric game to be on par with Em. Alright enough sounding like a Stan, check it out for yourself and grab the link to download.

I love that people randomly keep coming back to this song off Snoop’s old album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment with the original featuring Dr. Dre. The original came on at the end of an Entourage episode in one of the past seasons and you would’ve thought that a new Dre track was dropping by the people’s reactions to the track. No hate here, the original is still my favorite from that album and anything that gets this song more exposure is cool with me. Cudi does a good job of putting his distinctive style and flow over the record and it is dope for the couple verses he throws down. Click the break to listen to the original “Imagine”.
