Eminem and Dre are back at it on this new joint from Relapse. I like it and makes me think that this album is going to be hotter than I initially thought (because we already know it is going to be a big seller). Dre also lays some dope lines over this track and I love when he steps up his lyric game to be on par with Em. Alright enough sounding like a Stan, check it out for yourself and grab the link to download.

I love that people randomly keep coming back to this song off Snoop’s old album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment with the original featuring Dr. Dre. The original came on at the end of an Entourage episode in one of the past seasons and you would’ve thought that a new Dre track was dropping by the people’s reactions to the track. No hate here, the original is still my favorite from that album and anything that gets this song more exposure is cool with me. Cudi does a good job of putting his distinctive style and flow over the record and it is dope for the couple verses he throws down. Click the break to listen to the original “Imagine”.

Eminem drops what sounds like the final version to this song. I know I’ll probably get heat for saying it again, but I like the track. A big mistake was made releasing an early version of this song with Em rapping all the verses, I think most people felt slighted for having such a low quality release as the first original material they have heard from Em in a long time. The chorus isn’t the best but it’s catchy and for some reason the way Em raps “Tahoe” makes me laugh. The verses are all good enough, especially for each only having one verse to work with. Finally the beat, I love the beat, there is just something about piano loops that always gets me. Overall, it seems like a solid release to me, but would like to hear other people’s thoughts who didn’t like the low quality version.

Dre makes a comeback on this Kardinal Offishall remix and I was very unimpressed with his verse. I thought his lyrics and flow both were not up to his level. The whole song didn’t appeal to me too much, I thought Kardinal’s verse was OK and the beat was pretty standard club track with a deep bass drum, synth keys, air horns etc. Pusha T has the best verse on the whole track and really knows how to rock those deep bass drum grooves which actually reminded me of a drum loop I would hear on a Clipse track.
Marshall’s back and it sounds like this will be a banger. “Number One” is unreleased and will be on the Big Mike & DJ Neptune mixtape 4th Quarter Pressure. This is not a done track as you can hear Eminem does Dre’s verse and it hasn’t been mixed or mastered. It sounds like to me that Mr. Mathers has gone back to the witty lines and “fuck the world” attitude and has left Kim his ex/current wife (really I don’t know or care to know anymore) out of this song. I am now really excited for ’09.

After I watch Entourage episodes I get a lot of questions from my friends for the names of songs that were used in them. At the closing credits of this this last episode I recognized the song immediately and thought I would post the song on BeatsAndBombs to help everyone out. The song is called “Imagine” and is a track off of Snoop’s album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Dre’s lead verse is the one that is used in the actual episode and he says some powerful stuff in it so listen up!
According to Sha Money XL the producer and G-Unit affiliate and his website ShaMoneyMotivation.com, Eminem will be releasing a new album in ’09. The name of this album, according to Sha, will be Empack. This would be Em’s first release since Encore in ’04. I am excited if this is true because Eminem is probably my favorite living rapper. Also Dr. Dre’s Detox and 50 Cent’s Before I Self-Destruct are also scheduled to be released next year as well making it one hell of a year for the Aftermath family if all of this is true.
