Eminem & Jay-Z – “Renegade” (Live on the Ed Sullivan Theater Rooftop Video)

So this happened the other day in NYC and despite tickets only being available to a select few I am still disappointed wasn’t able to go to it. Jay was forced to abandon the idea of playing on the marquee to the theater so he did the next best thing and got Eminem and himself to do sets on the roof. This serves as a nice preview to their upcoming shows at Yankee stadium and Comerica Park where they will open for the other in their respective hometowns and should be one of the biggest events of the summer. Check out the footage for yourself and you can find other camera phone videos if you want to watch it before it officially airs on Friday night.

Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″, Mr. Porter & The Alchemist – “Tim Westwood Freestyle” (Full Video)

This video leaked sometime last week as separate videos but here it is as a whole long one. Videos like this are part of the reason I started loving hip-hop and it has to do with the ability to freestyle. It brings back memories of being at parties or shows and hearing people go off on one another or just rhyming for the hell of it to showcase how good they are and also make an honest attempt to improve their abilities. Somewhere along the road we as a culture have forgotten about this long lost ability and now call anything that someone spits over another persons beat a freestyle, even if they are reading off of their Blackberry. So enjoy these freestyle vets going off because who knows how often you will get to hear an established artist spit off the top anymore.

Eminem just released this new video which is the first single from his album Recovery. I have heard mixed reviews on it but as I have stated before I think Em should be getting back to his old form. There are no excessive Kim rants and accent and it is just Em against the world which is the exact angst that spurred his first few albums. We all will find out for sure if he is legit back in a couple weeks when his album drops on June 22nd so be on the lookout for it.

Eminem ft. Pink – “Won’t Back Down”

Man this has been a crazy week and even crazier month when it comes to leaks. Drake’s whole album has leaked, there are Kanye snippets and leaks and now Eminem has another song to go with “Not Afraid”. I found a way to listen to it at work and it is nothing like Tom Petty’s song of the same name lol. The bassline for this song is very bluesy and gives Marshall the perfect platform to have an up and down flow that only Eminem can deliver. Shouts to RR for the link.

I will admit that I was a humongous Eminem fan throughout high school and college but his recent albums haven’t done anything for me. With “Not Afraid” though I think it is safe to say Em is getting back to his old self which is what every fan wanted to hear. There are no more stupid accents and he even admits in the song that Relapse was “ehhh” haha. I appreciate the honesty so soon after the record was released and his pledge to not go back to it. Em’s upcoming project Recovery adds yet another album to the list of must haves this year which means 2010 could be one of the best years musically in a long ass time. Hip-hop and Eminem are back, now if only the radio would start playing the good shit we all wouldn’t have much to complain about haha.

I feel like the trend of the last few days is post some B.o.B, post some Em, post some B.o.B etc. and unfortunately this song isn’t going to break that monotony. Em is attacking the “Over” beat and the “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” beat which covers the two most remixed beats of the past month or so and Em still delivers something you have never heard before. This is in preparation for his supposed new single which was supposed to drop Friday but new info. has indicated that it actually might be Thursday, should it actually happen. Either way it seems he is prepping to get everyone amped for Recovery so enjoy it while it’s here because who knows how long after that we will have to wait for an album.

Eminem’s New Single Called “Not Afraid”

eminem song

This tweet is supposed to be our indication that Eminem will be releasing a new Jim Jonsin produced single called “Not Afraid” this Friday. Well there is also this radio station reporting that the single was to be released Friday and is awaiting label confirmation which I expect will not come… ever. I am doubting the validity of this whole scheme and even if it is true Interscope/Aftermath artists have a knack for announcing new singles and not delivering on them. No shots, but we are still waiting for Dre’s supposed new single and I imagine we will be waiting for even longer before if we ever hear it at all. So until Friday keep your fingers crossed that we actually get it and then keep them crossed even more so that Eminem continues down the path of murdering his verses like he has been doing to everything he has been on since after the Relapse album.

And in case you’re interested check out Eminem’s net worth as well as all the other richest rappers.

This is one of my most anticipated songs of the whole upcoming summer.

Since the album is leaking…I want this one to come from ME. Hear “Airplanes Pt.2″ ft. EMINEM & Hayley Williams of Paramore. Don’t forget to pre-order the new album! April 27th

B.o.B delivers the goods himself and I have to say I am not disappointed. Is it safe to say Marshall is back too? He has been getting back to his old ways after the Relapse albums released and tearing up his guest verses. Get the link and lyrics below the break.

PS – I will upload the stream above later today, until then you will have to download it.

Lil Wayne ft. Eminem – “Drop The World” (Video)

Instead of going to jail Lil Wayne has decided to drop videos on us and this time it’s his single with Eminem off of the Rebirth album. I am not a big Wayne fan myself and his verses don’t really do it for me but Eminem gives us a good one although it doesn’t top his verse in “Forever”. The video is directed by Chris Robinson and follows the same post-apocalyptic, world in chaos which is run by gangs theme that is almost every video that Rihanna is in now and I was half expecting her to pop up in the video haha. Rebirth is out now if you are into to that sort of thing.

It’s criminal how little coverage we’ve given for Freeway & Jake One’s upcoming project, The Stimulus Package. Both the Philly Freezer and the man with the white van have been putting in some really nice work in the past year or two, and the leaks from this project have been consistently strong (did I mention the kick-ass album packaging? ). ”Freezer’s Back” is off of Free’s mixtape, Freelapse (guess he’s going with a Shady theme), which is available when you pre-order The Stimulus Package from Fifth Element. Download link after the jump.
