I can already tell this is going to be a quality day of posts for us here at B&B, first we drop the new Darren Hanible tape and now we get the first single from S-Preme’s upcoming Sicktape: Vol. 2. The beat is by Soundtrakk and features a sample and a smooth, soulful beat which Preme murks with his crazy fast flow. S-Preme hasn’t been releasing a whole lot lately and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for this tape because he has some of the best lyrics of all the underground cats that I’m into right now. X.O. is on the original version but for this “remix” he takes all the verses over this beat by AB the Producer. These two are also teaming up for X.O.’s first album on his new Studio 43 label called Monumental where AB is the exclusive producer. Now that he has all the verses to himself X.O. does it justice and although I still like the original more it isn’t by much. I have said it a thousand times that I love this song, on top of the quality verses the beat really bangs and the chorus always gets stuck in my head. Download: X.O. – “Go Hard” (Remix) New video from the DMV, this joint has been my anthem for a few weeks now and is one of my favorites. The video, directed by J. Benok & Chris, reps DC and is really professionally done, more so than I have seen from some major label artists. Cameras follow rappers throughout the day to where they meet at Pure nightclub at night where they are performing the song. Oh and 3 of these artists have mixtapes out right now that I know of and that you should go get, A.B. The Producer’s Producer’s Credit, X.O.’s RealMATIC and Lyriciss’ The Day Job should be in everyone’s iTunes by now. Spotted @ DCtoBC

DL: Lyriciss – The Day Job Mixtape Lyriciss hits us with his mixtape The Day Job on Friday damn near right when it turned midnight just as he said he would and I am going to do a rare midnight post to get this out to the people. He gets some help from some of my favorite artists in the DMV on the tape like Nando McFlyy, XO, AB the Producer, RAtheMC, Mouse etc. but there are plenty of verses from Lyriciss so you get a feel for how dope he is too. I haven’t had the chance to listen to it all yet but everything so far has been fire so far and I am sure the rest will be too. The track above is “Go Hard” which has been making the rounds and is one of the hottest new songs outta D.C., it is produced by AB the Producer (haha go figure) and besides Lyriciss it also features XO and Pro’Verb. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving but it’s immeadiately back to business. Here is the first song to drop off the soundtrack to the Notorious movie that is coming out. The beat is by Mr. Kanye West himself and it sounds very similar to M.I.A.’s beats with a simple chanted chorus. Jay is loving that style right now just like Kanye and his AutoTune.
