Finally an interview detailing our favorite new artist over here at B&B, RAtheMC. The interview is pretty long and she gets asked a bunch of questions so we get to hear a lot about her music career, where she is from, college, the DMV, etc. I am so glad she says there is no female MC out now that is close to her, I said that from the first time I heard RA. If this is your first time hearing about her, this is a good way to get caught up.
Nardwuar’s interviews are the absolute best when it comes to music. If you can get past the whole character he plays you realize that his music knowledge is second to none. The records, props he brings out and questions are all on point. In almost every interview he brings up some obscure question to ask the individual that usually blows the artist away. Unfortunately a lot artists are turned off by the in your face enthusiasm of Nardwuar and not all interviews go so well. Check out his interviews with Jay-Z and Pharrell after the break and the link to his site, he really blows Pharrell away with his questions. Juice is getting lots of love these days and we are definitely glad to see it here at B&B. This is an interview with him and Camp Lo that took place backstage at the AllHipHop.com 10th anniversary party. He talks about his beat battle championships, how he met Camp Lo and their new album on the way, A Piece of the Action, that he helped executive produce. Pretty dope interview and I can’t wait to hear what they cooked up for this album! Devin talks with RollingOut.com while in the studio being Devin haha. This is an in depth interview (9 mins!) and Devin chops it up about how he met some of his crew, the Coughee Brothas etc. Damn, I didn’t know he has been doing this since ‘91, that is the majority of my life. Anyways peep this and get to know Devin even better and find out why has been the Dude since before the Big Lebowski. Jay-Z talks about a wide array of subjects in this video. Everything from the Fat Joe/Khaled diss to Obama and the financial markets crashing get covered in this 9 minute in depth piece. All the hardcore Jay-Z fans are going to love it and its nice to see him give such a long interview and really chop things up. Can’t wait for the Blueprint 3!
Yesterday we showed you a video of Jojo absolutely wasted on stage and making a fool of himself. Well K-Ci got on the radio with Hot 97 in NY and tried to deny those allegations. He said that Jojo is epileptic and that they had a 20 hour flight to Australia and that he didn’t pass out on stage but had an epileptic seizure. Now I’m no doctor but I am Irish enough to know that is clearly not the case as the video shows, that dude is just fucked up. It makes it even sadder that instead of apologizing he made up excuses and said that he applauds his bro for even attempting to perform LOL. If he really was having an epileptic seizure and you knew it then why didn’t you help him out when he was having his “seizure” in the middle of the stage? I have seen someone have a seizure before and trust me it involves a lot of spastic shaking, which Jojo doesn’t do, he just passes out. Well enjoy your last time ever on Hot 97 because after this incident and the joke of an excuse you made up you guys will slowly fade further into irrelevance.
