little secretPosts Tagged ‘little secret’This was an easy post for me to pick out because I listened to it for several months in my iTunes and finally this is the official video. In retrospect (of a few months haha), the song has an amazing groove and is easily danceable although for 90% of the verses the lyrics seem nonsensical to me. The chorus was what always drew me to the song in the first place and is catchy and infectious which are two great aspects to have if you are releasing something to the public. I’m not sure of the mainstream potential but I don’t see how all the positive attributes listed will hurt their chances of seeing some serious radio time. As for the video, it was alright and although I’m not blown away I like the dance party at the end and how it demonstrate how contagious this song can be. Am I the only one when I see any relatively small group of kids partying in a gym that I always immediately reference the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video? I know this is nothing like it in concept (no anarchy cheerleaders here) but I couldn’t help it from popping in my head while watching it. Enjoy, and their album Manners is in stores now.
Passion Pit finally got around to making a video for this song which is my one of my favorites from this summer. Now you’re probably asking yourself video? What video? Well since I don’t know how to rip YouTube videos and the embedding is disabled for some stupid reason you are going to have to click below to watch it. I know this is pretty ridiculous but this should speak volumes about how much I like the song. The video on the other hand haha, I really have no idea what is going on but it still has some cool visuals. Enjoy!

Well this will definitely be my easiest post of the day seeing as I have been listening to Passion Pit heavily the past several weeks. “Little Secrets” is one of those songs that has been my jam (just like “I’m the Ish”) recently and “To Kingdom Come” is the song that initially got me into them along with my friend Beefcake (and yeah that is actually what we call him). It is so easy to write about songs that you are into and have been listening to a lot, I am not saying anything about finding new songs because honestly that is my favorite thing in all of music, but when you are already into something you could ramble on for hours. “Little Secrets” is more of a party/pump you up song while “To Kingdom Come” is more mellow but they provide some very cool visuals in the video.
