Outasight – Further Mixtape
December 15

I have been waiting for a new tape form Outasight for a while, his last one, From There to Here, was the music that initially got me into his music. This time he teams up with LRG to give you 14 new tracks to vibe to until his album drops sometime in 2010. Congratulations to the homey Outasight too for signing recently with Asylum/WMG, I know all the artists out there grind hard to get to that point and I’m sure it is a big milestone for him as an artist. Grab the tracklist and direct download link below the break.

Kidz In The Hall – “Le Tour De Loisirs Professionelle” (Mixtape)

This is now at least a few days late but it still deserves a post. Le Tour De Loisirs Professionelle (i.e. The Professional Leisure Tour), is the latest free EP (i.e. mixtape) from the Kidz. Naledge and Double-0 needed a buzz-builder for their upcoming album Land Of Make Believe, and what better way to do just that than to drop some free music? I must admit that I frequently overlook these guys seeing as I’m not that big on the whole “hipster-hop” sub-genre with the exception of The Cool Kids. Although the inner nerd in me is irritated by the improper French usage (it should be “Professionels”…just saying), this tape seems like it’s worth a listen.

DL: Wale ft. Tre & Young Chris – “Nightlife”

Great new track that is off of Wale and 9th Wonder’s new mixtape Back to the Feature. The artwork and album concept are on point but that is to be expected because Wale has been a pioneer of the retro reinvention being adopted by a lot of the new school rappers. Produced by Mikey Mike, the track has a big sound and it sounds as if Wale’s live band should be able to play it easily. Can’t wait to see what else 9th and Wale cooked up for this LRG mixtape.
