No, I will not post every single Obama track that is surely to come across my computer over the next few weeks but I will try to give you the ones I think are the best. Like this one wouldn’t necessarily be considered an Obama song if you didn’t hear the child talking at the end and the subsequent Obama speech. This song sounds like any other quality Common song and that is definitely what I like most about it.

After Obama won last night Brother Ali felt compelled to go in the studio and do a quick song to celebrate (as I’m sure many artists will do). Even when Brother Ali freestyles he says some insightful stuff so this is still some deep shit and not just your typical rhyming of words. You also have to love the use of Marvin Gaye’s “You’re the Man” sample, I’ll bet he has had that picked out for a long time just for this occasion because it is perfect. Freeway puts it down with a video for Obama. There is nothing too crazy with the video prodcution but definitely pay attention to the lyrics. He talks about some serious stuff in the verses and even the chorus. Again go vote if you haven’t already!

Some of the rappers from the Houston area put together this song in support of Obama. I put Bun B’s pic up there since he was the first one to put them together on his album Trill for the “Draped Up (Remix)”. Although this song doesn’t have as many artists as that original song, it still has a lot of the heavy hitters from H-Town. I always like to see the unity and I especially like the show of support for Obama.
