Here is a track from The Renaissance that was remixed with some Barack Obama speeches. The beat is another jazzy one and very easy for Tip to flow to and the mixed in speeches aren’t too long or frequent. This album drops today so after you vote go grab one.

Another smooth joint from Q-Tip off of the new album called The Renaissance coming out on Election Day Nov. 4th. This song was going to be released a few years back but the album got shelved, Tip still decided to redo it and put it on the new album. I had never heard it before and it kind of sounds more like his Tribe Called Quest days with the jazzy beat.

Q-Tip is one of my favorite rappers of all time. He is just a smooth guy and rapper and this song is as smooth as it gets. Raphael provides the chorus and the beat is as smooth and soulful as Raphael’s voice. This is off of Tip’s upcoming album The Renaissance coming out on Election Day Nov. 4th!

One of my favorite rappers growing up, Q-Tip comes through with a new video. “Move” is directed by Rik Cordero and the concept seems to recreate the cheesy music videos made in the disco era, pre MTV. No crazy shots or special effects in this one, pretty much a guy with a mic, sometimes it pays to keep things simple.

A nice little remix to get you through your day at work. Lupe is constantly telling people to go get a passport in this song and I agree. If more Americans had passports we would have a lot less problems in this country. With wars going on across the world and approximately only 20% of Americans owning passports, I would have to say no truer words have been spoken by Lupe. Americans need to get out and see other countries, you can’t call yourself the best if you’ve never seen your competition.
