RA the MC

Judah hits us with a video for his track commemorating the year that was in the DMV, 2008. Pretty simple but cool video just showing Judah on his computer in a stripped down building and RA also makes her appearance for her singing part at the end. I posted the audio to this track earlier and I like it but was not expecting a video, it’s a cool track that recaps the year well and is definitely worth the listen, especially if you’re from the DMV.

“This is grown folks music, you a child like Seaworld” haha. Wordsmith gives us a real nice surprise today by dropping a great song featuring a lot of young rappers on the scene. He’s also repping most of the big cities on the east coast on this record with the artist being from DC, NY and Baltimore. All of the verses are good and the beat, produced by Street Level, is quality with a mash of samples as the chorus.

SIdenote: I know the title would make more sense as “Game, Set, Match” but I put “Point” because that is how the track is labeled.

RAtheMC is back with a new track off the Hype Club mixtape pictured above. Judah again produces the beat for her and this is hot. She spits a bunch of lines that just hit hard, the girl spits fire. Mick Boogie has been all over every mixtape I have been picking up recently, the dude is all over the new talent in the industry. Check out the mixtape at Hypebeast.com.

Theo and RA link up for this song that I got off of RA’s site. It is a dope track and the production is quality with a Daft Punk “Technologic” (think “Touch It” by Busta Rhymes) sample as the chorus. I like seeing the different producers takes on the Daft Punk samples, from the more out there stuff like this track to the more pop-friendly “Touch It”. RA and Theo also throw great verses in the mix so this is definitely worth a listen.

Finally an interview detailing our favorite new artist over here at B&B, RAtheMC. The interview is pretty long and she gets asked a bunch of questions so we get to hear a lot about her music career, where she is from, college, the DMV, etc. I am so glad she says there is no female MC out now that is close to her, I said that from the first time I heard RA. If this is your first time hearing about her, this is a good way to get caught up.

RA just doesn’t stop putting out quality tracks, even her freestyles have me shaking my head and saying damn. I can’t get over how she spits, she is on another level compared to any other female artist on the come up.  The chorus says it all “I tell MC’s they should forfeit now ’cause I’m queen and I want that crown.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Dope new track from RA the MC where she rhymes over Common and Pharrel’s “The Announcement”. This track is off of her upcoming mixtape called A Trip to Neptune which is dropping on Oct. 27th. I expect more tracks to be released in the near future, so be on the lookout if you’re a fan.
