idle-warship-umc-15 After hearing their music for the first time last week, we immeadiately get hit up with another Idle Warship track. Turns out there is also a third member besides Talib Kweli and Res (pictured above), and her name is Graph Nobel and she reminds me of Gwen Stefani with her singing/rapping. I am not as high on this track as "Steady" but this clearly isn't an album track so its cool to just get to hear some more music from them. I assume we will be bombarded with their stuff in the near future so I will keep you posted.

idle-warship-steady Talib Kweli and Res are Idle Warship (great name) and this is the first song I have heard from them. It uses a Corey Hart "Sunglasses at Night" sample just like a million other beats I have heard over the last 3 years. Even though the urge to turn the song off was strong once the first few beats played, I resisted and in the end I am glad I did. This is one of the best uses of that sample I have heard and even though I thought it had been played out, it is still original and different. Res takes most of the song and she is perfect for this type of track. But I will now have to state that no one else should use this sample, I don't care if its the hottest beat you have ever made, don't do it! There should be a 10 year moratorium on this song starting..........now. Spotted @ GoWhereHipHop
