spank rockPosts Tagged ‘spank rock’Here is the newest video from N.A.S.A. off their album Spirit of the Apollo and just like the rest of the videos it is pretty crazy and has an all-star guest features on it. I wonder how many videos they will release for this album? I am not complaining in the least bit but this is at least the 4th video for this album alone and hopefully they keep them coming. N.A.S.A. recently announced their U.S. tour dates too so check after the break to get those and if you haven’t already, GO GET THE ALBUM!

Live performance from Santigold on the Jimmy Fallon show last night. I like the performance and she sounds pretty close to the actual audio of the song. This song is pretty good by itself but I have to admit that I like the 3-6 Mafia remix even more than the original. I haven’t watched Jimmy Fallon yet but it has received mixed reviews from what I have heard. I have never been a big fan of him myself since he always ruined SNL skits by being unable to control his laughing but I have to give any show who has the Roots as their house band a fair shot. N.A.S.A. hits us with more tracks from their album The Spirit of Apollo which drops in February. Keeping with their style, they continue to bring big names together across various genres to perform with them. On this track, they get Kool Keith and Tom Waits, those are just two names I never thought I would see listed featured on a song together. For those of you who do not know Tom Waits, he is the folk rock musician who originally recorded and wrote the song “Way Down in A Hole”, or as you may know it, the theme to The Wire. Click the break to hear “Whachadoin” ft. Spank Rock, M.I.A., Santogold & Nick Zinner, their video for “Money” ft. David Byrne, Chuck D, etc. and the tracklisting to their album, which has some of the best features I have ever seen on one album.
