Statik chops up a bunch of Pimp C samples for the chorus and has Pimp’s UGK partner Bun B and Houston unsung hero Cory Mo rhyming over it. The video is looks like it is shot in Houston and is directed by Wraithe for Kinetik Cinematix. If you haven’t already, go and and get his album, it is definitely one of my favorite recent albums to drop and I rarely like the producer/DJ collaboration albums.

Jon Hope drops his mixtape The Audacity with the help of Statik Selektah and gives us this video directed by Sway Mendez. The video is dope and the material Jon spits about is some of the most quality shit of all the new cats. Hopefully, this is the precursor to an album that will be dropping soon. If you’re a Hope fan, click the break to hear my favorite track not on the mixtape and a link to the album. These guys performed their Statik Selektah cut at the AllHipHop.com Showcase at SOB’s. I’m pissed I wasn’t there but this is still a great song. Anyone out there still sleeping on this album, Stick 2 the Script, get off your ass and go get it. I wasn’t so sure myself at first, but when I heard song after song of young artists I wanted to hear and dope production I realized I had to get it. Don’t sleep on it!

I know I said I wouldn’t post another track from this album but my man Jon Hope is on this so I had to put it on. Stick 2 the Script drops today so go cop it. It has tons of dope tracks on there with great features and Statik is a solid producer. If you aren’t convinced to get the album then take a listen to Torae and Sha Stimuli tear this track apart and then you’ll have no excuses.

I can’t think of a more fitting end than with a song featuring Termanology, someone Statik has been working with for some time now who is also form the Boston area. Another NYC joint from Statik and his album Stick 2 the Script. This is probably my favorite one yet with the sample heavy beat and the line up on the verses. This one isn’t just for the ladies!

Statik Selektah keeps coming with some more regional powerhouse features and this Houston track is no different. He gets Bun B and Cory Mo, the producer and rapper extraordinaire, two longtime mainstays on the Houston scene, to step up and record some verses. H-town is gonna go crazy over this joint. There are also some Pimp C samples in the chorus and Bun B always throws down the hardest verses in all of rap. This one is definitely going in my rotation.
