“Take Home” is the first single from XO’s new mixtape called 1.1.10. This song is very polished and it sounded a lot like 50 Cent to me on the verses and even the chorus. I mean that in a very complimentary way too even though I am not longer the biggest 50 fan (hence the lack of any posts on the site) but the dude can make a chorus like no other and has some smooth verses. While I have the chance I would like to clear something up, could the other XO please change his name? It is confusing as hell to see multiple artists with the same name and I never had a problem with it until the other XO came on the scene a couple months ago.

I’m not sure why this video isn’t playing smoothly for me but hopefully it does for you.

This gritty masterpiece, shot by PhiltheGod/43FiLMS, takes you on a lyrical journey while navigating through so much decay and destruction. The actual surroundings are what’s left of the 1st Cotton Mill built in Atlanta, some hundred plus years ago. The song and video for DO iT were made to inspire that inner beast to go harder and…just do it!!!

This is off of his new project One One Ten being released on 1/1/10 (go figure). AB the Producer is on the beat.

Kenny Burns gives us a dope backstage sneak peak of the show and everyone in attendance. The audio is damn good on this and Drake is the artist I have listened to the most since his mixtape So Far Gone dropped a while back. It is pretty impressive that the crowd is rocking out to these mixtape tracks, record labels take notes. This live show is great, I need to go to a NYC performance if I can somehow manage to get my way way into it. If you aren’t up on Drake yet go download that mixtape, I won’t even get into it but you need it, just watch this video.

Another big thing happened in the DMV recently and that is Marky dropped his mini-album called Nothing is 43ver. Not sure what the deal is with the “mini-album” title but whatever keeps people making dope music is all I care about. The track “Delusional” above, produced by labelmate A.B. the Producer,  has been my jam for the last couple weeks and I am still loving it. Click the break below for the download link and tracklist.
