Here is one more reason to go buy the Jay Stay Paid album which dropped today. I am loving who Pete Rock chose to perform on these, not that he would ever do it wrong, but it is so cool that somebody got it so right. But if the two rhymers being featured with him didn’t make you want to go buy the album then I suggest you read this article here explaining how the money from this album will help Dilla’s family now that he is gone. According to a HipHopDX interview with Dilla’s mother, aka Ma Dukes, that Vibe article linked above really helped make it easier for the family, with all the divisions and beef associated with hip-hop it is great to see the community rally around the family for a common cause and help bring some positivity back to the game. This is the realest of real hip-hop and it is for a great cause so support it.

I am a little late on this but got to show some love especially since I feel like I haven’t posted something of Donny’s in a minute. Donny has an album coming out soon and this is the first single off of it, the original track is from Minute After Midnight and both are produced by Statik Selektah. Here is what Donny had to say about it:

Here is a track off of DJ Babu of the Dilated Peoples upcoming album Duck Season Vol. 3. which hit stores yesterday. The track is solid and the beat sample heavy with a piano loop, definitely some cool shit. I meant to post more of his tracks earlier but to make up for it just hit the jump to hear another joint off of the album called “The Unexpected” featuring Sean Price and MF Doom!

This is the last song I will post from the album since it drops on Tuesday Oct. 21st. I can’t think of a more fitting end than with a song featuring Termanology, someone Statik has been working with for some time now who is also form the Boston area. Another great listen from Termanology, somehow this track didn’t make his album Politics as Usual which is out now. Pete Rock’s beat is bangin’ and Term adds his crazy lyrics to the whole mess to create this fire. This is a great track for all you Termanology fans who have already listened to the album a thousand times and want to hear something new because this is definitely album worthy.
